Getting into Group Fitness

 

When it comes to exercising, the hardest part is committing to working out. Once you got that part done, it is time to go slow and steady. Get the right gear

You should dress appropriately when working out. There is no right clothes, but you should definitely stick to comfortable gym clothes that do not interfere with your workout routine.

Avoiding Common Injuries

The most common areas for injury when exercising are the joints and tendons. These strains, aches and injuries can all be prevented with a few steps:

 

Warm up - before you start lifting weights or any exercise routine, it is important that you warm up your muscles. Stretching - At least 5 minutes of stretching before and after a workout is essential to reducing the risk of injuries as well as preventing common muscles pains and aches.

 

Always Keep Hydrated - One of the most common causes of illnesses as well as accidents is dehydration. This is why you should never forget to have a water bottle with you when working out, keep hydrated during the breaks.

 

Rest - Muscles will not get stronger if they are constantly worked up. It is important to allow them time to rest and heal at least 24 to 48 hours after a workout. This is why different muscle groups are targeted each day. When starting out, it is important that the body gets enough rest in between workouts.
